I decided I wanted a light weight titanium saw frame that was sleek, thin minimalistic and very easy to use.
And I wanted every handle to be custom made and unique to each saw.
Therefore, every frame and handle is designed and hand made by me.
The blade is tensioned by tightening the brass screw on top, so no shoving the frame against the bench peg to tension the blade.
Once the blade is inserted, it is two turns and the blade 'pings' correctly.
The back of the frame has a second 4 mm rod that gives an immense amount of rigidity without being bulky and cumbersome. There is no bounce, wobble or wander.
Sleekness, balance and function are maintained.
The saw blade is inserted in the blade guide hole and the thumb screw is tightened until the blade is held in position.
Then the saw blade is inserted in the top blade guide hole and the thumb screw is tightened. Now the brass tensioning nut is screwed to tension the saw blade.
This saw frame was designed to cover the most used and handy size for a jewelers saw frame. The throat depth measures 80mm (3.15 inches) and weighs 135g (4.7 ounces).
The wooden handles are made from exotic reclaimed woods. Creativity is woven into the making of the wooden handles to make the handles unique one-of a kind design.
Pieces of Mukwa, Red Ivory, Zebra Wood, Teak and Ebony are used in the unique saw handles. In some cases the design feature resin and metal inlay.

I wanted to inject some flair in an every day tool, which is used a hundred times a day.
